There are few more pressing parenting issues today than helping our children safely navigate the digital world in which we live. Supported by academic research focused on the effects of media and technology on children, this session will break down complex issues relating to the presence of media in our children’s lives in a friendly, accessible fashion. Dr. Uhls will also highlight how parents and guardians can positively utilize technology and media for youth today drawing from her book Media Moms & Digital Dads: A Fact Not Fear Approach to Parenting in the Digital Age.

Limited childcare is available from 5:30-8:00 p.m. for school-age children (5 years and up) with registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

This event is open to the public. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Contact Laurie Ransom, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, with questions.
