LECTURE AND EXHIBITION TOUR:
The Face of Heaven, the Face of Hell: the Iconography of Noh Masks

Collector and author Stephen Marvin will speak on the symbolism and iconography of Noh masks, specifically on how the individual features and stylistic devices of each mask type define its persona for the stage. The lecture will be preceded by a private tour of the special exhibition, Becoming Another, The Power of Masks, with exhibition curator, Jan van Alphen.
