5/22: The Call of the Nembutsu, explores Jodo Shinshu and other Buddhist responses to a variety of world crises. Keynote: Rev. David Matsumoto (IBS); guest speakers: Rev. Uma Lama Ghising (Nepal); Prof. Mitsuya Dake (Ryukoku U.); and others. Rev. Sonam Wangdi Bhutia, originally scheduled, is unable to attend due to the recent Nepal earthquakes.
