Shiitake Mushrooms at Home

This "hands-on" program will discuss the techniques for growing shiitake mushrooms on logs in Virginia. Topics include: selection of logs, innoculation process, harvest, mushroom storage and use. Tour the shiitake mushroom production area. Participants will be given a log to innoculate and take home to grown your own mushrooms. Cost is $25.00 each.
