A newly released book, It's Not Like I'm Poor, details how low income families are faring since the 1990s welfare reform. Drawing on interviews with 115 families, the authors will share with us what they learned about the impact of the expanded tax credits (and the subsequent cash infusion at tax time) on the lives of working families.
