Bodhicitta: Awakening the Heart, Gladdening the Mind

The Pali word “Bodhicitta” means heart of awakening or awakened heart and refers to the deeper motivation that leads us to practice. Beyond finding some ease within the daily stresses of our human existence, we intuitively know that our ability to respond wisely and with compassion when faced with unexpected difficulties in life makes a difference.
