We will visit the site of a Maquiladora, a US- or foreign-owned manufacturing plant that uses Mexican labor to produce goods for export. Usually they operate under a free trade treaty meaning their taxes and tariffs are minimal. The industrial park we will visit is comprised of a group of maquiladoras. We will visit El Hogar de Esperanza y Paz.
