Silicon Photonics: Transforming Data Centers

Photonics aims to use the photon in the same way that electronic applications use the electron. The silicon photonics field is advancing rapidly, and many new devices are being introduced. This talk will focus on recent developments in active devices--such as quantum-well and quantum-dot lasers, modulators, amplifiers and photodetectors.
