4 out of 5 Native women have experienced violence-56% of that being sexual violence. In New Mexico, Native women and children experience sexual violence at some of the highest rates. Advocates have been working with survivors of sexual violence in New Mexico for a very long time, and we recognize their hard work and dedication.
