Compassion Fatigue at the Community Center of the DuPage County Health Department, April 19 at 9 AM
Compassion fatigue, or vicarious traumatization, is the phenomenon generally associated with the “cost of caring” for others. It is a result of exposure that counselors and case managers may have to clients’ stories of trauma, pain, and fear. Signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue will be discussed as well as strategies to address it. 3.0 CEUs
