Ecology of the Herring River: Past, Present and Imminent Future

John Portnoy, PhD, FHR Board member and retired ecologist with Cape Cod National Seashore, will lead a walk down to the natural salt marsh at the river mouth and then to the diked estuary above Chequessett Neck Road. We will view the ecological effects of over 100 years of tidal restriction and imagine a restored 1000-acre salt marsh. Limit 10.

Registration is closed. This event has already been held.
