Art of Traditional Chinese Painting (Fall 2017, Oct.-Nov.)

Traditional Chinese painting involves essentially the same techniques as calligraphy and is done with a brush with black ink. The depth is expressed by dark and light tones. You will learn painting techniques including brush control, delicate balance of ink and water. You will learn how to paint bamboo, orchid, panda, insects, landscape, etc.
