Hidden gold in the dirt? – Soil carbon, climate change, & socio-economic development in East Africa

Rangelands occupy vast swathes of land area, and could hold 1/3 of the world’s terrestrial carbon. Yet rangelands face huge pressures and threats. However, restoring degraded lands can trap substantial amounts of greenhouse gases through planned grazing. Mark’s presentation showcases projects becoming viable business/conservation models.
