Jewish Family Services has been providing mental health and counseling services to individuals, families and children in the greater Milwaukee area for over 30 years. We believe that reducing the stigma associated with mental health conditions and increasing access to quality care is critical in supporting the overall health, wellness and quality of life in our community.
We are pleased to announce the 2017 Hirsh Larkey Mental Health Conference featuring a unique educational session focused on depression from the male perspective through “Real Men, Real Stories” on May 18, 2017 at the Italian Conference Center in downtown Milwaukee.
This three hour seminar, led by national key note speaker Mark Meier, Executive Director and Founder of Face IT and panelists Bill Dehkes, Dan Foley, and Michael Atkinson will help mental health professionals, health care providers, social workers, family and caregivers and individuals who are struggling with depression to better understand the challenges men face in coping, seeking treatment and the efforts needed to support successful recovery.
