Speaker: Cris Peterson
Cris Peterson joined the staff of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in June of 2016. As the area director for the Dayton market, Cris oversees a 1.2 million dollar revenue goal and multiple signature events for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Tri –State Southwest Ohio Chapter. Cris has over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit space, most recently working for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) as the Development Director, where she oversaw fundraising and community engagement for a fifteen county territory. Along with raising money and planning a variety of events, she oversaw an Advisory Board and volunteer recruitment for the greater Dayton market. Cris also spent several years with the American Heart Association as the director of the Go Red for Women campaign. Cris started her career with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in 2002 after losing her mother to a blood cancer. Cris implemented the first Man & Woman of the Year campaign in the Dayton market which is now raising over $600,000 annually in Dayton. Cris serves as the WIBN director of recognition and was recognized as a Top 25 Woman to Watch in 2012. Cris volunteers her time with the YWCA Dayton and other local organizations. She enjoys hiking and being outdoors and loves to travel to new places. Cris and her husband, Ed, have two sons, Eric and Matt.
