• Two young academics explain their work on electric bikes. Bram Rotthier is preparing a PhD on the safety of electric bicycles. With the TG Vlo Team, Jeroen De Mayer has developed an objective quality label for electric bikes.
• The ERECON network, established by the European Commission, has identified electric bicycles as one product group for which recycling Rear Earth Elements (REE) may present a significant opportunity. As a partner in the European project REE4EU, AVERE is carrying out a market analysis.
