VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COLLEGE CREDITS:

A new EPS Subsidized College Coursework application is a NEW requirement for Educators wishing to enroll/register for an EPS College course. We partner with Massasoit Community College to offer coursework at a cost to the educator of $50.00. The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) has prioritized Degree Attainment for Educators in the Commonwealth.  In support of the priority, the EPS grant subsidizes college course work that is intentional and supports

  • Educators to earn a certificate, credential and/or degree in ECE or in a related  field, or;
  • Programs to meet staff professional development or education requirements for accreditation or QRIS.

Our college offering will be posted on our website (www.cdedu.us/SEEPP).  To ensure that all educators enrolling on one of the EPS courses meet the intent of the grant, all interested Educators MUST complete the application that will be linked to each flyer. Upon review of the application, Educators will be required speak with our new Career Advisor, Carol Lyons, PRIOR to the application being submitted to the college offering the requested course.  At the time of application, Educators MUST pay the $50 fee for the course. This fee will be reimbursed should the college not admit the Educator.

You may contact us with any questions at 774-273-1773 as we work to implement this new process. While change is often a bit confusing, we are confident this extra step will ensure the requirements of the grant as well as support Educators in meeting their professional development needs
