The AEIC Load Research and Analytics Committee has re-designed this course to emphasize applications in load research. The statistical theory under-pinning sample design, sample expansion, hypothesis testing and regression analysis will be covered and then applied to common industry problems encountered by load research professionals.
Analysts who work with load data, modeling and/or sampling will find the subject matter beneficial. This Statistical Methods Course is an in-depth 3.5-day program of study. Although there are no compulsory prerequisites for this course - everyone is welcome to attend - those interested in taking this course will benefit from taking the AEIC Fundamentals of Load Research course, having a strong statistical background, or by having 2-5 years of load research or other analytical experience. Please bring a laptop to this course as the application of these examples will be hands on. The course examples are in SAS. Familiarity with SAS programming will be helpful, although not necessary. If you do not have SAS on your laptop a student version can be downloaded prior to the course along with needed datasets.
