The Third Annual West Virginia Estate Planning Institute is the premier event you do not want to miss. Designed for accountants, attorneys, and financial planners, participants will hear from high-quality speakers and will network with other estate planning industry experts.
This year's featured speaker is nationally-recognized estate planning expert, Howard M. Zaritsky, J.D., LL.M., who will be presenting Hot Topics in Estate Planning. Mr. Zaritsky's presentation focuses on recent tax and related developments affecting estate planning. Among the topics you should expect to see discussed are the use of the recent IRS procedure for late portability elections, problems with foreign financial accounts, recent cases regarding the charitable deduction for gifts of conservation easements, avoiding problems with Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts, recent and pending cases on the taxation of life insurance, proposed regulations on estate tax deductions for debts and expenses that will not be paid within the first three years, defined value gifts, and many more.
