Crawford Unlimited Leadership (CU Lead)

Our Program:
Crawford Unlimited Leadership (CU Lead) is a nine-month leadership course, meeting the second Friday of each month starting October 13- June 8 at the Crawford Success Center in downtown Bucyrus. The course is facilitated by Crawford County’s own Steve Mohr, former Wynford Superintendent and Action Team leader for the Crawford Partnership’s 20/20 Vision initiative. Steve is an independent certified teacher, speaker and coach of the John C. Maxwell Team. He is also an adjunct instructor at Ashland University.

Our Purpose:
Crawford Unlimited Leadership (CU Lead) develops leaders who, through a collaborative approach to learning current leadership practices, will enhance leadership skills within their organizations, improve the quality of life in their communities, and make a positive impact on Crawford County as a whole. Using the county’s first institution of higher learning, the Crawford Success Center (a satellite of North Central State College) as well as the Crawford County community as a classroom, participants will be introduced to different businesses and community organizations, visit local industries, and be introduced to local community leaders working to make a difference.

Our Goals:

  • Using John Maxwell's books, The 360 Degree Leader (Leading Down, Leading Acress, and Leading Up) and The 5 Levels of Leadership as the organizational framework for the class, participants will develop 21st century leadership skills
  • Through interaction with county agencies and businesses, learn about the community -- its history, people, strengths, challenges, and opportunities
  • Develop personal growth
  • Apply all of these concepts and practices by completing a group community project that addresses a community need in conjunction with Crawford: 20/20 Vision.

Dress is business casual or appropriate for experiential activities and business tours.
