The Technology and Marketing Ecosystem - Gainesville (04/21/15)

NEFLIN Expert Series 2014-15

The Technology and Marketing Ecosystem:

Promoting Your Library in the Digital Age

Compelled to change the perception of the library as an antiquated and boring institution, Ben Bizzle and the team at Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library developed an aggressive technology and marketing strategy in order to better serve their community and increase public awareness of the library. Join Bizzle as he teaches you their award winning marketing approach and learn how you too can engage your community and increase awareness of your local library.

Expert Facilitator: Ben Bizzle

Ben Bizzle is a 2013 marketing Mover&Shaker and author of the upcoming book, Start a Revolution: Stop Acting Like a Library. As Director of Technology for the 2013 John Cotton Dana Award winning Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library, Bizzle utilizes over 20 years of technology and business experience to meet the challenges facing libraries in the 21st century. With an emphasis on virtualizing resources and extending the library’s reach beyond the library itself, he has developed a number of cost effective ways to enhance the patron experience and increase community awareness of the value of public libraries.

Join the NEFLIN Outreach Interest Group for their meeting after the Expert Series.  The Outreach Interest Group will meet from 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm.  This event is free for NEFLIN members only.  Registration is strongly encouraged.

Cost: NEFLIN classes are free of charge for Florida library staff. Registration is required for all classes and NEFLIN members get priority.
