It's the Experience That Matters

Richland Library Executive Director, Melanie Huggins shares how her library transformed from the inside out with a renewed and intentional focus on customer experience. The entire staff participated in creating a strategic, customer-centric vision that has permeated every function and service of the organization. Be inspired by examples of how this and other libraries are making its customer promises real through their people, places, processes and promotions.

Expert Facilitator: Melanie Huggins

Melanie Huggins is the executive director of the Richland Library in Columbia, SC.  She is a frequent speaker and facilitator on the topics of customer experience, strategic planning and active learning environments.  Melanie’s work is influenced by her belief that libraries are uniquely positioned to respond to the learning needs of communities. Whether those needs are literacy, workforce development, access to technology, or other community challenges, libraries can respond professionally and quickly in ways that other organizations cannot.

Cost: NEFLIN classes are free of charge for Florida library staff. Registration is required for all classes and NEFLIN members get priority.
