You’ve heard of whole collection RA which focuses on not only promoting a library’s books but its entire collection—DVDs, e-books and audio. But whole person? Join NoveList co-founder Duncan Smith as he sums up over 25 years of thinking about readers’ advisory and introduces this new concept.

What Library Users Really Want

We'll talk about how delivering the services library users really want means:

1.     Identifying the true product of readers' advisory (it’s NOT pushing books).

2.     Getting all staff involved.

3.     Moving out from behind the desk.

Included in this session will be instructions for using NoveList Plus to address a wide range of readers’ advisory questions.

Duncan Smith is the Vice President (and founding partner) or NoveList.  He was inspired to develop the NoveList readers' advisory database based on research he conducted on why readers read what they read.  Duncan is passionate about the power of libraries, and readers' advisory, to transform lives.
