Children's Services West Interest Group (8/1718) 

This quarter, the Children's Services West Interest Group will be meeting at the Bradford County Library in Starke.  

We all know that marketing our programs can be tough. Join us on Friday, August 17th, at 9:00 as Sally Breedlove, a librarian from Alachua County, gives us some tips on how to use social media to best promote our programs. Sally works in the eBranch, which handles online reference, downloadable help, and social media.

 In the afternoon, we’ll be doing a summer program breakdown as well as sharing programs for the fall. Did you have any programs that were particularly successful or maybe a surprise flop? Let’s talk about them! If you don’t have a program to share, bring a craft or a new children’s book you love.

Please Note:  The Children's Services West Interest Group serves the library districts of Suwannee River Regional (Madison, Hamilton, and Suwannee Counties), Three Rivers Regional (Taylor, Lafayette, Dixie, and Gilchrist), New River (Baker, Union, and Bradford), Levy County, Alachua County, and Columbia County. However, any NEFLIN member is welcome to attend meetings of the Children's Services East group, as well.

Stephanie Tyson has been head children’s librarian for Columbia County for 7 years, and been employed in the library for 13. She graduated the Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute in 2017 and is starting her MLIS at USF in January.
