Next Steps Workshop for Professionals

A workshop for professionals supporting young children newly diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

• This workshop is geared towards professionals who work with toddlers through young elementary school-aged children who have been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Parents/caregivers are also welcome to attend.
• Topics include an overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and accompanying conditions, how diagnoses are made, available therapies and treatments and how to decide what interventions to pursue, and tips for supporting families living with ASD 
• Presenters will include fellows in developmental and behavioral pediatrics, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, social work, and researchers from the Center for Autism Research
• Participate in a discussion with a panel of parents who will share their experiences navigating their child's autism diagnosis to find education, behavioral, and therapeutic support and beyond.
  

Cost:

$25.00 per parent/caregiver includes Resource CD, coffee, tea, and assorted beverages

$45.00 per professional includes Resource CD, coffee, tea, and assorted beverages

$75.00 per professional includes includes Resource CD, coffee, tea, assorted beverages, and Continuing Education Credits*

* Act 48, psychology, and social work

Note: for those of you who do not need continuing education credits, but who would like proof of your attendance, we will offer general attendance certificates at the conclusion of the workshop.

In order to keep costs low, lunch with NOT be provided. We ask that all participants pack and bring their lunch. Alternately, there are several lunch carts in front of the 3535 building.
