Join us on Thursday, January 26, 2017 to hear from local leaders and advocates who share our commitment to restoring nature to our neighborhoods!
The sixth annual summit will feature inspiring speakers showcasing research and projects that prove the many benefits of trees as well as case studies demonstrating successful community-led urban greening projects.
Region-wide, our neighborhoods’ lack of tree canopy adversely affects the health and well-being of our residents. The Sacramento Tree Foundation’s regional initiative, called Greenprint, establishes partnerships with local governments, businesses, and community and neighborhood groups to organize local tree planting and care programs and to educate the public about the air quality and other health benefits of a healthy urban forest.
The annual Greenprint Summit brings information, connections, and inspiration to local leaders to encourage beneficial urban forest projects.
While we are still finalizing the agenda of the 2017 Summit, confirmed speakers include:
An interactive poster session will showcase additional urban forestry projects.
Register and pay before December 31, 2016 to take advantage of the $65 early bird fee (continental breakfast and lunch included). The fee will be $80 for registrations after January 1 or at the door.
Breakfast served at 8:30am, program to begin at 9:00am.
