Do you work with children and families?
The Strengthening Families Framework identifies the five characteristics, called protective factors, that when present and robust in families, lead to optimal child development, strong families, and a reduced risk of child abuse and neglect. Simply put, protective factors equip families to weather the challenges that come their way. The Framework also identifies actions that organizations, communities, and individuals can take to promote these protective factors.
Join us for a special event that will provide an overview of the framework and will conclude with a Community Cafe. The Community Cafe provides an opportunity to explore important issues in a format that promotes broad participation and cultivates creative responses and important conversation. It is a core strategy to engaging parents and promoting protective factors.
This generosity of the Oleonda Jameson Trust allows us to offer this training at no cost to participants.
We are grateful for our partnership with the River Center, Family and Community Resource Center and to Monadnock Community Hospital for helping bring this training to the Monadnock Region.
A training certificate will be provided to each participant who completes the training. This may meet the professional development requirements for some professionals. The training may qualify for contact hours for nurses for whom content is related to field of practice. This training meets the criteria of an introduction to the Strengthening Families Framework specified in the NH Operational Standards for Family Resource Centers of Quality.
