Facilitative Leadership Techniques: Activating Productive Group Participation in Trainings and Meetings

Ever attended a meeting (or 10) that could've been an email?  Have you ever facilitated a dicussion and wish you had done something different after?

This training will provide attendees with tips and techniques for designing effective trainings and meeting agendas using proven facilitation methods for fostering productive group participation. Participants will learn vital skills for becoming an effective facilitative leader, a style that promotes inclusive decision-making and group ownership.   This training provides hands-on techniques and an opportunity to practice skills that are applicable in any setting and designed to improve group dynamics and strengthen any team. 

  • Learn to plan and facilitate productive meetings/trainings:
  • Promote participation and minimize the impact of participants who are exhibiting “challenging” behaviors
  • Motivate commitment and collaboration 
  • Improve organizational and group dynamics
  • Integrate diverse ideas and foster inclusiveness
  • Minimize conflict and guide difficult conversations effectively toward resolution

  • Designing training presentations
  • Effective facilitation
  • Creating group consensus
  • Creating practical plans
  • Facilitating change and solving on-going problems
  • Empowering and moving groups forward
  • Promoting leadership

Who Should Attend: 

People involved in giving presentations and trainings, facilitating and leading organizational and community meetings, focus groups, and/or committees.  People interested in making their organizational and community based group processes more focused, productive, and effective. 

This two-day training equips the attendee with proven facilitation methods for

Parking:
There is ample on street parking available around the venue.

Food: 

Food and drink will NOT be provided during this training.  Please make sure to tend to your breakfast needs before arriving and bring any drinks or snacks you might want.  Attendees will be provided a one hour lunch break.
