CSI Lecture Series: Mock Bid Day

Have you ever wondered what it is like inside a GC’s office on Bid Day? Come and learn what it is all about with some hands-on experience. Multiple bids coming in at once, are they complete? Who is low? Try to review the flurry of faxes and get your bid in on time as you compete against your colleagues for the most accurate bid.

  • Students $5 (limited availability)

Agenda

  • 5:30 PM - Check in, enjoy beer & pizza
  • 5:45 PM - Instruction
  • 6:00 PM - Bid day begins
  • 7:00 PM - Bids due
  • 7:05 PM - Bid results announced, wrap-up presentation

Additional Information

  • Attendees will need to bring a laptop (one needed per team), highlighters, pens, paper.
  • 1 learning units of AIA continuing education units are available for attendees

Alicia Clark, CSI, Project Engineer/Estimating Coordinator
Emerick Construction

Ali Clark has been a Project Engineer with Emerick Construction for just over three years. Ali started with Emerick just after graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Architecture. Being able to see the projects from both a design and construction perspective has been a great asset to the project teams. Ali’s involvement with CSI has strengthened this passion, and she currently serves as a Board Director and Chair of the Programs Committee.
