2020 Water Distribution Workshop

The Water Distribution Workshop will include the following presentations topics:

  • Developing a Leak Detection Program
  • Air Valves
  • Backflow Cause & Effect
  • Legionella Management and Control
  • Pipeline Risk Exposure Scoring
  • Legionella Management
  • Field Guide to Robust Water Main Cleaning

 This workshop features speakers:

EARN CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS!  - 0.6 CEUs (Water CEUs approved)

 Cost is $75 per attendee for individual or utility members of AWWA, WEF or PNCWA  

$100 per attendee for non-members

Small System Operators and Student Scholarships - To encourage participation from small utilities (less than 500 connections) and from college, university and technical program students, the Northwest Washington Subsection will pay workshop registration fees for 2 operators from small utilities who are AWWA members and any student.  To be eligible for a small systems scholarship please register and pay for the workshop and on the registration form indicate the number of connections for your utility.  If your registration is one of the first two received, your registration fee will be refunded following completion of the workshop.  First Come - First Served.  

To be eligible for a student scholarship please list your institution, click "pay by check" and phone or email the contact in the upper left column for further information.

Cancellation Policy - If a registrant is unable to attend the event and a substitute within the organization can attend, please contact Jeff Lundt (jeff.lundt@kingcounty.gov ) to update information.  If unable to attend or send a substitute contact the above at least one week before the event for a refund (minus a $10 processing fee).  Refunds after that time will not be given.

If the workshop is cancelled due to lack of registration or another reason, full refunds will be provided.
