How much time can you devote to protecting your loved ones?

This gun disarming workshop is unique in its presentation of concepts from the various disciplines of psychology, physics and physiology.

Gun disarming starts and ends with personal awareness. What are those situations where you would have to defend yourself against a person threatening you with a gun? Can they be prevented? If they do occur, how do you read the situation and decide how to act? And if you decide to act… what is the right timing and distance to do that? Are you alone? Are there others involved? What are the options?

These are some of the questions that will be explored to tackle this complex topic. Scenarios will be as realistic as possible to the varied group comprise this seminars. If you are a world traveller, a bank teller, a teacher, an insurance agent, a realtor, an intelligence operative or a police officer… you will definitely have very different life styles, routines and potential risks.  The presentation will be adapted to the reality of the participants.

In this 2-day workshop (Saturday 9-1 and 2-6, Sunday 9-1) you will learn how to manage those critical situations when avoiding them failed.  When do you attempt a disarm, and when are you better off giving the bad guy what he wants?  This training will include principles and techniques from the martial arts of the Israeli and Russian Special Forcesm as well as the Japanese Samurai arts.

This workshop is open to men and women; law enforcement and civilian.

Prior experience is not required.

About the Instructor...

 JOE GEHR 

Founder of Technon LLC, Mr. Gehr is a recognized professional in the fields of security and preparedness.  His twenty years of experience in these fields include ten years of security work in Israel, where he is a veteran of the Israeli security establishment and an officer with the Israel Defense Forces.  Mr. Gehr is an experienced consultant providing international security, intelligence, and counter-terrorism advisory services to governments, organizations and corporations.

Mr. Gehr has been a guest commentator on protection, security and terrorism topics for news organizations such as CNN, FOX, CBS, NBC, UNIVISION, TELEMUNDO, RTL, CARACOL, and other networks.

Mr. Gehr is an avid martial artist and has taught martial arts from the Israeli and Russian special forces to civilians and law enforcement at Technon Tactical’s training academy in downtown Hollywood, Florida.
