HALE KOA HOTEL LU'AU GROUNDS

Lori Concepcion Ms Sophisticated 2005PA'I Presents the 10th Annual Hapa Haole Hula & Music Festival.
Join us Friday, October 5th, 6:00pm at the Hale Koa Hotel Lu'au Grounds for an evening of Hula and Hawaiian music as we feature some of  the winners of the past nine festivals.
Harry B. Soria Jr., who, for 32 consecutive years, has hosted the weekly radio program, “Territorial Airwaves”, focusing on vintage Hawaiian music will be the emcce of this evening's program.  He shares his extensive knowledge of each song, the composer and history of this fun era of Hawaiian hula and music.
Hapa Haole songs are written in the English language about Hawai'i.  Many of the song writers were native Hawaiian.   Some were band directors and others were from as far away as Tin Pan Alley in New York City who had never even been to Hawai'i but romanticized and fantasized about our beautiful islands and that lovely hula girl on the beach at Waikiki.
Join us for a fun evening of Hula and Hawaiian music as PA'I celebrates Aloha Week with the 10th Hapa Haole Hula & Music Festival and Competition!
