AABLI Leadership Workshop: Understanding Nonprofit Budgets and Business Plans

Every year management is charged with presenting an annual budget to the board and the board is asked to analyze and approve the budget.  In addition, many organizations also prepare a 3-5 year business plan for board review and approval.  Understanding how to read and analyze budgets and business plans and ask the appropriate questions are important responsibilities of board membership.  This workshop will help you understand how budgets and business plans are created, what you should look for in these documents, and why they are useful tools in managing your organization, projecting future sustainability and ensuring that your plan is aligned with your mission.

5:30 PM -- Registration and Networking

6:00 PM -- Program Commencement

Refreshments will be provided.
