Montana Tech, an Academic Organizational Affiliate of HIMSS, would like to invite you to a shared Montana Tech and Montana HIMSS open house event.  Join us for a CE approved presentation and social event, and see the newly upgraded Health Care Informatics Room.

MT HIMSS will be holding a board meeting from 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.  All members are welcome to attend this meeting.

The mixer will start at 5:30 p.m. and the educational session will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Join us November 10th in Butte, Montana for an educational presentation from Dr. Jonathan Griffin, MD, MHA

HIT Imperatives under MACRA and Value Based Care

Key Learning Objectives of the Presentation:

  • Examine high level delivery system implications under MACRA and commercial insurer value based care programs;
  • Explore the current state deficiencies and opportunities of health information management systems capabilities present in the Montana market;
  • Identify health information systems architecture, analytics capabilities and other critical success factors necessary under MACRA and commercial value based care programs.




Dr. Griffin received his medical doctorate and masters of health administration from the University of Washington.  He completed training at the Family Medicine of Residency of Idaho Rural Training Program.  Dr. Griffin previously served as a physician executive at St. Peter’s Hospital and Medical Group in Helena and currently is medical director at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana.  He also maintains a solo, private practice as medical director of two skilled nursing facilities in Helena.  Dr. Griffin serves on the executive team of the Montana Medical Association and is actively involved with several community-based healthcare improvement efforts across Montana with special emphasis on health information systems.
