SCORE Conference: Celebrating Women's Entrepreneurship

Join us for a one-day conference sponsored by SCORE and TD Bank to celebrate women entrepreneurs in our region. This gathering is designed to inspire you--whether you are looking to launch a new business or grow the one you have!  The full day conference is $50 which includes a light breakfast and lunch.  A half-day ticket (either morning or afternoon session) is available for $25 as well.

Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito is the featured morning speaker.  Hear her thoughts on women's enterprise throughout the Commonwealth. She is followed by a panel discussion with peer entrepreneurs led by Deborah Penta of Penta Communications on overcoming challenges and soaring to success.

TD Bank will then give a presentation on Best Practices for Start Up Business.  Come learn from the source what banks really need from you!

The afternoon starts with lunch speakers Margareth Shepard, Framingham City Councilor and Lisa Dowd, founder of Cheesy Street Grill.  Councilor Shepard is the first Brazilan American elected to City Council in Framingham and is a life long entrepreneur.  Lisa Dowd did a mid career change from corporate executive to top notch entrepreneur.  She has been so successful that she was on the Rachel Ray show!  After lunch there will be  three simultaneous workshops:
  • How to Grow Your Business with a Government Contract--led by Nadine Boone, SBA
  • Social Media That Works for YOUR Business- led by Susan LaPlant-Dube
  • Building Your Personal and Business Brand Success-led by Itala Kessler and Deborah Penta
*PRE-REGISTRATION is required for these workshops - sign up as you register for the event.

Translation in Spanish and Portuguese will be available for the luncheon speaker and one of the workshops so please indicate on the registration form if you need translation services.

This conference has been organized  by the Boston and Worcester Chapters of SCORE, a non-profit organization that provides free mentoring and free or low-cost workshops to help small businesses succeed. Funding came from a grant from National SCORE and from a generous contribution from TDBank.
