Using PowerPoint with Zoom, Keep People Focused on Your Message, Not the Slides. 

As activities become increasingly “virtual,” information typically shared in person is now being presented through video-conferencing. Great if everything works, but awkward if presentation mechanics distract from your message.

This live session looks at PowerPoint and Zoom features you can use to enhance live, on-screenpresentations, and deliver them seamlessly.

We will demonstrate and explain:

• The difference between PowerPoint transitions and animation, and how you can use them to enhance your presentation and highlight key points
• How to animate charts created in PowerPoint and Excel
• How to control the timing of transitions and animations, and make them occur either automatically, or only when prompted
• Use of PowerPoint’s built in laser pointer, magnifying glass and annotation featureswhile presenting
• Use of PowerPoint’s “Presenter View"
• How to use Zoom‘s whiteboard
• Zoom settings needed to share PowerPoint audio and video
• Why you may want to save your PowerPoint slides as a packaged slide show
• How to set up your computer to facilitate navigation between PowerPoint and Zoom during your presentation.

Participants are encouraged to ask questions during the program.

Presenter: Gerald Rosenthal.  You may know Gerald from his excellent Excel presentations.  He gives easy to understand and organized instruction.  He is the founder of ComputerImages, a Boston-based software training and consulting firm, and has been using Excel since the program debuted as Macintosh only software in 1985. His professional training is in law and finance, and he describes himself as essentially a low-tech person. His interest in computers focuses more on how they can help people work smarter and better, rather than their technology.
