SBA Disaster Assistance Information Session

This workshop is in partnership with SCORE Greater Hartford and SBA 


Get all of the information you need to know about how the SBA Disaster Assistance Program can help your business or nonprofit. This will be up to date information, and you will also be able to get your questions answered directly from the source. 

Meet the Presenter:

Moraima Gutierrez is the Assistant District Director for Economic Development /Media Relations Specialist at the U.S. Small Business Administration for the Connecticut District Office. In this role she is responsible for further strengthening and delivering SBA’s many programs and services throughout the state of Connecticut. Formerly she was the Station Manager for Telemundo, WRDM Hartford/WDMR Springfield where she was responsible for all aspects of managing the station throughout Hartford, New Haven counties as well as Western Mass. She has an extensive background in marketing, sales and general management in the private and government sectors. Prior to this Moraima worked for the Latino and Puerto Rican Affairs Commission where she was responsible for all facets concerning the media as the public relations liaison for the Commission. She is a graduate from the University of Saint Joseph with a M.S. in Management and a B.S. in Communications/Liberal Arts from Bay Path College. In 2002 Moraima completed the Quest Leadership program with Leadership Greater Hartford and in 2004 she was selected to participate in the Young Hispanic Leaders program through the Embassy of Spain. In 2013 she was listed as one of the 50 most influential Latinos in Greater Hartford and in 2007 she was recognized as a “40 under 40” recipient through the Hartford Business Journal. She is currently a Chair of the Steering committee for the Latino Endowment Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, and on the Board of Trustees for the Children’s Museum. Moraima is originally from Danbury, CT and currently resides in West Hartford, CT with her husband Galo. She is also the proud mother of Christopher and Noheli her two adult children.

1. You must register online for all workshops. No walk-ins will be allowed for any paid workshops because we do not have the ability to take payment on the spot.

2. Please arrive with enough time to get settled as every workshop will start promptly.

3. Parking will not be validated for workshops in Downtown Hartford. Please download the WOONERF App on your phone so that you can replenish the parking meter from your phone if you choose to park on the street.
