New Year's Raclette Dinner 2018

Join us for a New Year's Eve tradition in the making, a Raclette Dinner with all the fixins' on December 31st, starting at 6:30 pm. Includes salad, Raclette cheese, potatoes, cold meats, pickles, and dessert. This is a very special event and not just very tasty, it is very social and fun!

BYOB.

Limited to the first 45 guests to sign up (reservations required)!

Enjoy the fireworks postponed from last year that our neighbors at EYC are organizing - river conditions permitting, of course.

Fee of $65 per person includes $15 for fireworks which will be donated to EYC. If the fireworks are cancelled again, we will refund the $15 or you can donate the amount to our club (please let us know).

If you have never had Raclette before and love cheese you are in for a treat!

What is "Raclette"?

Raclette is a semi-hard cheese that is usually fashioned into a wheel of about 6 kg (13 lb). Raclette is a Savoyard (French) as well as Swiss dish based on heating the cheese and scraping off (from French: racler) the melted part. The melted cheese is served over boiled new potatoes, and sliced cold meats, cornichon pickles, and pickled onions are served on the side. This is a very delicious, yet simple meal, and very filling. It is great for social gatherings.

What to drink with Raclette: A light-bodied dry white wine or fruity light red wine. Try a white Swiss wine, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir or Rosé.
