Give an Hour: Revolutionizing Equitable Mental Health Services
Give an Hour is a trailblazing nonprofit organization committed to transforming access to mental health services for individuals and communities alike. Our forward-thinking approach delivers a wide array of evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address the impact of human-made traumas. Our mission revolves around cultivating resilience on both personal and community levels through responsive and scalable mental health programs. Our vision encompasses expanding cost-free, barrier-free mental health care to those affected by such traumas, achieved by growing our mental health services and provider network. By offering diverse, tailored approaches to healing, informed by the latest research and consumer insights, we're leading the charge in innovative multimodal solutions. Our unwavering dedication to equitable mental health care and specialized support for human-made traumas sets us apart, empowering individuals and communities to thrive emotionally and socially.
The Tactical Recovery program is based on the understanding that America’s Veterans, active military personnel, first responders, and their family members are the backbone of our country. We also know that these roles can have long-lasting, negative effects on the people who have served us all.
Partnering with PsychArmor, a national nonprofit educational organization, the Tactical Recovery program provides a culturally-competent and trauma-informed environment for recovery and healing. We tailor care for each individual using evidence-based practices and holistic healing methods.
Once a client graduates from Summit BHC’s Tactical Recovery, our alumni programs will connect them with ongoing, appropriate resources in their hometown that will continue to support their needs for a lifetime.
