The Project of the Year must exemplify team effort, including the project owner, designer, management, administration, and construction workers. Recognition includes local impact, use of M/WBE, GCs and subcontractors, skill, innovation, and final product.

2019 General Contractor of the Year 

• A General Contractor or Joint Venture-JV
• Must-Have Completed Projects in the North Texas Area
• Private or Public Sector
• RHCA member in Good-Standing - JV minimum of one partner must be an RHCA member 

A general contractor or joint venture that had a significant impact in the construction industry in the North Texas Area in 2019. Displayed leadership, success, and the traits of a good contractor and corporate citizen. Recognition includes local impact, use of M/WBE and subcontractors, skill, innovation, and final product. And committed to the safety of construction workers.

2019 Architecture Firm of the Year 

• An established architectural firm with more than five years in the North Texas Area in 2019
• Projects in the North Texas Area in 2019
• The firm should have established a reputation for the quality of design
• Projects can include built, unbuilt, renovation/restoration, interior architecture, etc.
• RHCA member in good standing 

An architecture firm that had a significant impact in the architecture/design field in the North Texas Area in 2019. Displayed innovation, leadership, success, and the traits of a well-established firm and corporate citizen. Recognition includes local impact, use of M/WBE and subcontractors, skill, innovation, and final product.

2019 Engineering Firm of the Year 

• Establish engineering firm with more than five years in the North Texas Area in 2019
• Projects in the North Texas Area in 2019
• Specializing in: Study, research and consulting engineering services; building technology systems, structural systems; surveying; environmental; water/wastewater; etc.
• RHCA member in good standing 

An engineering firm that had a significant impact on the architecture, engineering, and construction industry in the North Texas Area in 2019. Displayed leadership, success, and the traits of a well-established firm and corporate citizen. Recognition includes local impact, use of M/WBE and subcontractors, skill, innovation, final product, and committed to providing high-quality services.

• A subcontractor with annual sales under 5 million
• RHCA Member in good standing 

2019 Subcontractor of the Year 

• A subcontractor with annual sales of over 5 million
• RHCA Member in good standing 

A subcontractor that had a significant impact in the construction industry in the North Texas Area in 2019 and has displayed leadership, commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the traits of a good contractor.

2019 Service Firm of the Year 

• Establish business with more than five years of experience supporting the A/E/C industry
• RHCA Member in good standing 

2019 Public Entity of the Year 

• State, County, City or Higher Education
• Receives Federal Funding for Construction Projects
• RHCA Member in good standing 

A public entity that had a significant impact in the construction industry in the North Texas Area in 2019 and a good community partner. This entity must have displayed leadership, innovation, and diversity in administration and management of its construction-related projects and work.
