Bishop Michael Curry has issued an invitation for us, in the Episcopal Branch of the Jesus Movement, to embrace "The Way of Love."  It is based on principles developed by the 1st century Movement, inspired by Jesus, that committed to living the way of God’s unconditional, unselfish, sacrificial, and redemptive love. To help us grow more deeply with Jesus Christ and identify ways we can bear witness to his way of love in and for the world, the Episcopal Church has develop a rich set of resources framed by seven practices: Turn - Learn - Pray - Worship - Bless - Go - Rest  (See The Way of Love website). This year's faith formation leaders gathering is designed to give us experiences of these practices and learn ways to bring them to our communities.

Jerusalem Greer is a member of The Way of Love creation and leadership team. She brings loads of experience from her work with as the part-time Minister of Formation and Connection at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Conway Arkansas, VTS' Baptized for Life: An Episcopal Discipleship Initiative, and author.  You can read more about her and find her essays on her blog, as well as Building Faith and Forward Day by Day. She lives with her husband and two teenage sons in rural Arkansas and, as a family, is attempting to live a slower version of the modern life.

This is your chance to join faith formation practitioners - lay and ordained, paid and non-stipended - from across New England to
  • share stories and offer mutual support
  • discover ways to bring the values, principles and practices of The Way of Love into your community practice
  • enjoy good food
  • rest and renew in a beautiful setting
Thursday evening will be a time to reconnect with longtime friends, meet new ones, and map what is happening in our local and diocesan contexts.  Friday and Saturday, Jerusalem will help us identify ways to bring The Way of Love Practices of Turn - Learn - Pray - Worship - Bless - Go - Rest, into our lives and the life of our community
