The workshop is specially developed for entrepreneurs starting a new business or planning to grow their business.  The three primary considerations are; (a) Choosing a legal business structure, (b) Understanding government rules and regulations, and, (c) Buying business insurance.

This workshop will examine:

  1. The advantages and disadvantages of operating as a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation or LLC.
  2. Legal and tax requirements.
  3. Application of federal, state and local business regulations.
  4. Trademark and copyright protection.
  5. Insurance. 

 

Presented by: Dr. Mo Tehrani

Dr. Tehrani is a partner with a public accountant firm. He is a   SCORE volunteer and Professor of Accounting with the HCCS   where he teaches various courses in accounting. 

 Mo is a serial entrepreneur; started his first business in 1995 and   has owned several businesses in real estate, pharmacy and   security systems.
