First Annual New Hampshire Healthy Homes Conference
Thursday, October 13, 2011 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Holiday Inn, 172 North Main Street, Concord, NH 03301
If you visit homes to provide services, improvements or maintenance to New Hampshire families, you will benefit from this Annual Statewide Healthy Homes Conference. This full-day event will help you understand the connection between health and housing and how to take a holistic approach to identifying and resolving problems, which threaten the health and well being of residents. Everyone involved in health, housing, safety, energy or family services will gain insight into how housing and health are related, and actions they can take to improve the health of their clients. This one-day conference will bring together professionals with a variety of perspectives and experiences which promises to be lively and engaging.
This conference, with such a diverse cross section of individuals that touch homes, offers the opportunity for New Hampshire to assess where we are, build and strenghten our partnerships, and realign our priorities for moving "One-Touch" Health Home initiatives forward. Conference participants will have a better understanding of how to collaborate to make healthy homes a reality in their community.
The key over arching healthy homes principals are to keep homes dry, clean, well ventilated, pest free, safe, free from contaminants and well maintained.
