The Biotechnology and Medical Device Symposium will be held at the Seaport World Trade Center Boston on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. The objective of this one-day symposium is to create a forum for academic and industry scientists and other interested participants to learn and exchange ideas about unmet needs, early concepts and current research initiatives in a wide range of disciplines within the fields of biotechnology and medical device development. The aim of this discussion is to foster interactions that will help to advance the field of cardiac arrhythmia management through the application of innovative new concepts to unmet clinical needs.
The symposium will focus on the development of new concepts and tools which may have applicability to the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. These include new energy sources, mapping tools, drug discovery and delivery, and the development and delivery of biological and cell-based therapies. Faculty will include academic and industry scientists, many of whom are leading research efforts in the forefront of their fields.
