'Native Plants: Design and Maintenance' Seminar with Tracy DiSabato-Aust

Tracy DiSabato-Aust has earned international acclaim as one of America’s most entertaining and knowledgeable garden writers and speakers AND she’s coming to Annapolis !

Tracy

On Saturday morning, March 31, Tracy will present a rare half-day seminar on Maryland native plants, design and maintenance.

Tracy is a gifted and award winning designer who combines artistic vision with practical horticultural strategies. Her first book, The Well-Tended Perennial Garden, which has been referred to by many as “the bible for perennial maintenance”, has sold over 180,000 copies and has become Timber Press’ best selling book in their 30 year history of publishing. Her second book, The Well-Designed Mixed Garden, brings her trademark exuberance, expertise, and efficiency to bear on frequently daunting elements of garden design demystifying them with her direct approach. Tracy’s followers now welcome her long awaited newest book—50 High- Impact, Low- Care Garden Plants which features easy care dynamic selections for our busy lives. Also now a best-seller with over 20,000 sold!

A vibrant and compelling speaker, Tracy’s venues have included The Garden Clubs of Uruguay, the Horticultural Society of Argentina, New Zealand & Australia Landscape Design Conferences, England’s Royal Botanic Garden-Kew, England’s Royal Horticulture Society Garden- Wisley, The English Gardening School, The Oxford Botanic Garden and The Smithsonian Institute.

Sponsored by Unity Gardens as a fundraiser, this event will be held on March 31 at Anne Arundel Community College from 9am to 12:30pm with registration beginning at 8:30 am. A light breakfast will be served and a book signing will follow the seminar. Space is limited and advanced registration is required.

In addition, Four Rivers Garden Club, a long time supporter of Unity Gardens, will host a private reception in Annapolis on Friday evening, March 30 for Tracy and 50 pre-registered guests. This social event is open only to those attending the Saturday seminar and is not available separately.

This lecture is approved as Advanced Training for Maryland Master Gardeners
