The first half of the workshop, Mr. Weber reveals:

About Paul Weber: 

Paul Weber, CSA is one of Hollywood’s most respected Casting Directors.As the longtime Executive Head of Television Casting & Feature Film Consultant for MGM Studios, he has cast over 1000 TV episodes and films.

For series television, Weber most notably cast the wildly popular STARGATE franchise. Other TV credits include SPARTACUS:GODS OF THE ARENA, SHE SPIES, POLTERGEIST, DEAD LIKE ME, and THE OUTER LIMITS. These series and others have garnered numerous honors including 21 Primetime Emmy Award nominations.

For the big screen, Weber has advised on numerous MGM features including the blockbuster JAMES BOND franchise, FAME, ZOOKEEPER with Kevin James, HOT TUB TIME MACHINE with John Cusack, RED DAWN with Chris Hemsworth, Joss Whedon’s CABIN IN THE WOODS 3D, a remake of THE THREE STOOGES and THE MACHINE starring Vin Diesel. Weber is now a fully independent casting director and producer. Busier than ever, his current feature projects include BEULAH starring Dakota Fanning and Ryan Phillippe, HAUNTER starring Abigail Breslin,  THE UNEXPECTED with Paul Giamatti, and co producing THE STUPIDEST ANGEL based on the bestselling novel by Christopher Moore. New TV series projects include THE L.A. COMPLEX premiering this summer on the CW as well as SPARTACUS: VENGEANCE and NOIR for the Starz Network.

Casting over 1000 TV episodes and feature films over two decades,  Weber is in active development with MGM on new series, pilots and features.  Mr. Weber also casts 3-5 independent films a year as well as co-producing  three feature films and acting as the U.S. casting consultant for the CBC in Canadian Broadcast Company.

Weber is a member of the Casting Society of America, the Writers Guild of America, and served on the Host Committee for the 83^rd Annual Academy Awards.  He presently teaches at UCLA and his keen eye for talent and ability to cultivate and sustain lasting relationships within the entertainment community has made him one of the most sought-after experts in his field.
