An interactive event designed for gaining usable tools for spiritual growth and opportunites to learn with others in these changing times.

“Where in God’s Name Are We?”

This presentation will include both an historical analysis as well as present day glimpse into the state of the Lutheran church, with particular emphasis on New England. We will explore and answer these questions: What is changing in the church today? Are our churches growing or shrinking, and why? How did we get here? What are some possible ways forward? What is the future of the congregation? Using a variety of communication tools, Bishop Hazelwood will also present his findings from his visits to many of our New England Lutheran congregations. The presentation will conclude with options and tools for congregational leaders to use in their local settings.
