In January, the Pike/Pine corridor was named a Top 12 ArtPlace in America. An ArtPlace is a community that successfully combines the arts, artists, and venues for creativity and expression with independent businesses, restaurants, and a walkable lifestyle to make vibrant neighborhoods. The Capitol Hill neighborhood ranked highly not only against local Seattle neighborhoods but also nationally, showing a combination of factors that place it in the top twelve in the country.

Increasingly film-related companies are calling this vibrant area of Capitol Hill home for all of the above reasons. The Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce works hard to protect the quality and character of the Hill that has made it so attractive to the creative class by bringing together all the divergent voices of our members to help shape the future. Whether this is through advocacy around development (keeping Auto Row facades and adding affordable housing units) or promoting indie business owners or simply getting Hill leaders together for a cocktail, the Chamber's mission is as unique as the people who call the Hill home. Come find out why we're "not your daddy's chamber."
