The Deep Rock Tunnel Project
The Deep Rock Tunnel Connector Project is under construction. Tim Shutters with Citizens Energy Group is the Construction Manager, and is responsible for the day to day operations on the job. Tim will be providing and update to the group that will cover some the different methods utilized to construct the many shafts and approach structures that are being installed, along with the very interesting tunnel itself. Some of the methods covered are TBM Mining, Slurry Wall Construction, Raise Bore Method of shaft installation, Rock support in the tunnel and Launch and Retrieval Shaft Construction.

Tim has been in heavy construction for nearly 24 years. He has a wide array of experience including site, roadway, bridge, storm, sanitary, microtunneling, and deep rock tunneling. Tim is a new employee at Citizens Energy Group, but has worked locally his entire career.
