Indianapolis Chapter CSI November Meeting:

Mock Bid Process

Have you ever wondered whagt goes on during a bid. Well here is your chance to find out. CSI & ASPE (American Society of Professional Estimators) Central IN Chapter is putting on an 11th hour bid simulation. Participants will be split into teams. Then those teams will be distributed bids throughout the time period. Each team will have to assess which contractor is correct, and which bid to use for their best number. Each team will have to turn in their bid prior to the time running out. Once time has expired, the bids will be read out loud, and see which team came the closest to the right number. Discussion to follow.

Because of the time required for this simulation, it is important that members arrive between 5:30 and 5:45 to be placed into teams. The mock bid process will begin around 6:00pm and will last 1 1/2 hours. Afterwards there will be announcements and an open forum discussion about the mock estimate. Dinner will be served during the mock estimate.
